Showcase performance on stage

ARTS & PROBLEM SOLVING (A.P.S.)

During your child’s fourth and fifth grade years they will participate in the creation of full-scale productions.  Prior to this event our teacher/artists will guide your child through a  series of carefully designed master classes that nurture their inner creativity. The core of this experience is to provide students with a chance to perform and share their passion onstage in front of a live audience.  These performances integrate all of the A.P.S. classes from scenery designed and executed by the art students, to music, dance, gymnastics, and acting.

ESSENTIALS

Children participate in an essentials course in each area to learn basic skills. They cycle through each of the disciplines with their home base classmates. In grades kindergarten through two they rotate daily and in grades three through five they participate in each APS discipline for 3 days before rotating.

 FOCUS

Each child also is given an opportunity for deeper exploration in one of the arts through an intensified focus course. In grades 3 - 5 the students attend their focus course every day for four weeks.

CULMINATING ACTIVITY

At the conclusion of each Focus course, parents are invited into the class for the opportunity to see what the students have been learning and creating. We also recognize that you may want to share you child's experience with family members. We have setup the following secure Google Classroom to showcase the work of our young artists and future creatives. Please reach out to your child's Creative Arts teacher for information on how to access this Google Classroom.
